What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the phrase Philadelphia winter wedding? A snowy, whimsical, and dreamy picture of a bride and groom with lots of snow in the background. Well, the reality is that we don’t have much snow in Philly these days. There is even less chance that it will snow on a specific date when you are planning your wedding far out. Heidi and Barry didn’t plan a winter wedding in the first place. Their original plan was to get married at the Downtown Club in Philadelphia and have a big celebration with lots of friends and family. But due to the pandemic, they had to change their wedding venue twice, moving it from Philadelphia to Princeton.
Wedding Ceremony at the Peacock Inn, Princeton NJ
Heidi and Barry chose a marvelous venue in Princeton for their intimate wedding celebration. Surrounded by their closest family, the couple had a heartfelt ceremony, filled with the most beautiful moments. When Barry saw Heidi for the first time walking down the aisle, nobody could hold their tears.
Winter Wedding Photos in Philadelphia
Even though the couple had to move their wedding from Pennsylvania to New Jersey, they still wanted to have their wedding photos captured in Philadelphia. The city has a dear place in their hearts and has a lot of meaning for both of them and their relationship. So once the wedding ceremony was over, we jumped in a limo and headed to Philly for the couple’s portraits.
I am still amazed by the fact that Heidi and Barry braved the 31F degree weather for a two-hour portrait session. They had a lot of different locations that they hoped to use for their wedding portraits and we did them all! There were tons of in-n-out limo warm-ups, and we had lots of fun along the way! Starting from the dreamy 18th Century Gardens to the iconic Broad Street and the gorgeous stairs of the City Hall – every frame we took was filled with so much emotion, love, and unparalleled joy.
The night ended with a warm and cozy family dinner of 10 people at the beautiful Peacock Inn. Heidi and Barry, we would photograph your day again and again in a heartbeat. Thank you for letting us witness and document your beautiful love!
